Account Manager

DNSimple is growing, and we need an experienced Key Account Manager to join our team. As our first Key Account Manager, you will handle everything related to our most important customers, from starting and growing relationships to managing their accounts and providing support. You’ll also help us create and improve our policies and procedures for managing key accounts and develop training materials for customers and future team members.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of key account interactions, including:
    • Pre-sale discussions
    • Quoting and contract negotiations
    • Onboarding and account management
    • Support and billing
    • Introducing new products and upselling
    • Renewing contracts and off-boarding
    • Post-mortem analysis
  • Create educational materials and conduct training sessions to help key customers understand and get the most out of DNSimple’s products.
  • Handle various operational tasks such as:
    • Updating and maintaining our CRM database
    • Participating in support tasks
    • Ensuring billing and collections are accurate
  • Gather feedback from key customers and share it with our marketing and development teams. Make sure everyone understands customer pain points and feature requests.
  • Work with selected customers to develop case studies highlighting their positive experiences with DNSimple. Collaborate with marketing and tech teams to improve our products and services.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in Customer Success or Account Management, with a preference for Account Management experience. This should include handling contracts, billing, and collections.
  • Proven success in building and maintaining customer relationships, including upselling when appropriate.
  • Excellent English skills in both writing and communication. You should be able to write clear and professional emails and documents.
  • Experience with SaaS infrastructure and a basic understanding of DNS. Familiarity with work automation tools like CRM, Slack, and ticketing systems is also needed.
  • Experience working remotely and managing your own schedule is essential.
