Job Title: Sales Engineer (Cybersecurity)
Department: Sales & Marketing Department
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer/Chief Operating Officer
About Role
Sales Engineer (SE) based in Ghana to build upon, implement and support our growing base of customers. We are looking for someone that can hit the ground running in a fast-paced and quickly growing environment. The SE will work alongside internal sales teams and partners to assist prospects and existing customers through the buying process and then collaborate with customer success to ensure a successful customer activation experience. The SE will also engage technology partners to identify and demonstrate integration opportunities. This is an individual contributor role with a management opportunity as we build an SE team to support our growing business.
Purpose of Role
Generating revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders for CITSYS solutions.
Duties/ Responsibilities
- Be a technical resource with an influential personality that can drive sales during pre-sales highlighting overall value of security solutions.
- Analyze client needs and design solutions, conduct product demos and proofs-of concept, engage with clients and partners, and conduct competitive analysis.
- Develop database of identified target clients and their profiles and develop strategy to effectively engage them until conversion into a sale.
- Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of CITSYS cybersecurity products.
- Represent CITSYS products to customers and at field events such as webinars, conferences, seminars, etc.
- Support our partners through enablement, closing deals & progressing opportunities.
- Preparing proposals, PowerPoint presentations, pitch, and tender documents for customers.
- Act as a “consultant” to the customer on security products after the sale and assist the account team in turning up additional opportunities.
- Act as a business resource to the sales team and customer to provide “industry expert” executive level selling practices while delivering clear differentiation.
- Be the primary point of contact for security solutions pre-sales, investigating the prospect’s needs and developing a technical strategy to win business.
Educational Qualification/ Experience
- A degree in Information Technology/Computer Science with postgraduate qualification in marketing or a degree in business/marketing and an add-on qualification in Information technology OR related.
- 4+ years of direct experience in pre-sales, post-sales technical support as a solutions consultant, sales engineer, or implementation SME
- 3 years of experience working directly with software security technologies and solutions, ideally with enterprise customers
- 3 years of experience engaging successfully with C-suite executives
- CompTIA Security+
