Job Overview
The Associate Director – Electrical Engineering provides senior leadership across the electrical discipline, overseeing technical delivery, team development, and client relationships within the UK market. This role contributes to strategic growth, operational excellence, and high-quality project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the electrical engineering discipline across multiple projects
Set technical standards, governance frameworks, and best practices
Provide oversight on complex and high-value UK projects
Support business development, bids, and client engagement
Mentor senior and associate engineers toward professional accreditation
Manage resources, budgets, and project performance
Ensure compliance with UK legislation, health & safety, and professional standards
Represent the organisation at client meetings and industry forums
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Chartered Engineer (CEng) status
12–15+ years’ experience in electrical engineering with leadership responsibility
Strong background in UK project delivery and client-facing roles
Key Skills
Strategic leadership and commercial awareness
Advanced technical expertise across electrical systems
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
