Long term schedule will move to a 223 rotating schedule on days or nights
Must be flexible to work weekends and off shifts as needed

JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a hands on Supervisor for Horizontal Continuous Casting Aluminum operations in a high volume manufacturing environment. This role reports to the Manufacturing Manager and is responsible for supervising end to end aluminum casting and downstream processes including casting peeling ultrasonic testing cutting and packing.
This is a shop floor focused leadership role requiring active involvement in production troubleshooting equipment and process issues and leading teams during critical operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise daily aluminum horizontal continuous casting operations including metal transfer mold and graphite tooling cooling control puller operation and cut to length processes
Maintain stable casting conditions by controlling metal temperature casting speed cooling rates and tooling condition
Coordinate downstream operations including peeling ultrasonic testing cutting and packing
Oversee peeling operations including depth of cut control tooling condition alignment and yield optimization
Ensure ultrasonic testing is performed per internal procedures and customer specifications
Review UT results identify defect trends and coordinate disposition of nonconforming material
Supervise cutting operations ensuring cut length accuracy blade condition and minimal cut loss
Oversee packing operations ensuring correct bundling labeling protection and full traceability
Maintain complete heat and lot traceability through casting inspection cutting and packing
Enforce safety requirements related to molten metal equipment saws UT systems and material handling
Provide hands on support during startups equipment downtime staffing shortages and process disruptions
Coordinate with Maintenance Quality and Engineering teams to resolve production and equipment issues
Monitor scrap peel yield UT rejects cut loss and downtime and implement corrective actions
Train coach and develop operators across casting and downstream processes
Support continuous improvement root cause analysis and process optimization
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven hands on shop floor supervisory experience not office only
Strong knowledge of aluminum horizontal continuous casting operations
Working knowledge of peeling ultrasonic testing cutting and packing processes
Ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues in real time
Experience coordinating with Maintenance Quality and Engineering
Strong understanding of heat and lot traceability systems
Strong leadership communication and decision making skills
Ability to work flexible schedules including nights weekends and off shifts
US Citizenship required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in automotive aluminum components or Tier 1 or Tier 2 manufacturing
Background in scrap reduction yield improvement and downtime reduction
Experience leading root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects
Prior involvement in new equipment startups or production line expansions
Familiarity with data driven production metrics and SPC
Experience training multi skilled operators across multiple processes
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work in a hot and noisy industrial manufacturing environment
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to bend squat climb stretch and work around industrial equipment
