Cloud / DevOps Engineer (AWS / Azure) – 5+ Years Experience

This is a genuinely exciting and unique opportunity. You will be working remotely, directly with a U.S.-based company, as part of a highly skilled team that includes native English speakers, even if you do not currently have a U.S. visa. We are looking for a Cloud / DevOps Engineer with strong experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, and containerized platforms. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud-native environments across AWS and Azure.

You will work closely with engineering teams to automate infrastructure, implement CI/CD pipelines, and optimize cloud performance and costs. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, and modern DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure & Architecture
Design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or Azure
Build highly available and fault-tolerant architectures using services such as EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, VPC, IAM, Azure AKS, App Services
Support cloud migrations from on-premise environments to cloud-native platforms
Infrastructure as Code & Automation
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep, or Ansible
Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployments
Implement reusable infrastructure modules and templates
Containers & Kubernetes
Build and manage containerized environments using Docker
Deploy and operate Kubernetes clusters (EKS, AKS, or OpenShift)
Manage container orchestration, Helm charts, and Kubernetes workloads
CI/CD & DevOps Automation
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as:

Jenkins
GitHub Actions
GitLab CI
Azure DevOps
Enable automated testing, build, and deployment pipelines for microservices and cloud applications
Monitoring & Observability
Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions using:

Prometheus
Grafana
Datadog
Splunk
CloudWatch
Create dashboards, alerts, and metrics for system reliability
Security & Reliability
Implement cloud security best practices including IAM policies, encryption, and network security
Perform root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and incident response
Ensure systems meet high availability and disaster recovery standards
Cost Optimization (FinOps)
Monitor cloud usage and optimize infrastructure costs
Implement cost-saving strategies such as:

Reserved instances
Savings plans
Resource rightsizing
Tagging strategies

Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering
Strong hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, Bicep, Ansible)
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, OpenShift)
Experience building CI/CD pipelines
Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Shell
Experience with monitoring and observability tools
Experience with cloud networking (VPC, security groups, load balancers)

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures
Experience with Kafka or streaming data pipelines
Familiarity with FinOps and cloud cost optimization
Experience with Databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cosmos DB, DynamoDB)
Cloud certifications such as:

AWS Certified Solutions Architect
AWS DevOps Engineer
Microsoft Azure Administrator / Architect
