Job Title: Pharmacy Director

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Director to lead and manage all pharmacy operations in a hospital-based healthcare setting. This role is responsible for operational leadership, regulatory compliance, staff management, budget oversight, and development of clinical pharmacy programs that support safe, high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all inpatient and outpatient pharmacy operations
- Lead, train, and mentor pharmacy staff to ensure high performance
- Develop and enforce pharmacy policies, procedures, and compliance standards
- Prepare for and manage regulatory surveys, audits, and accreditations
- Manage departmental budget, productivity, and cost controls
- Collaborate with hospital leadership to improve medication use and patient outcomes
- Lead clinical pharmacy services and medication safety initiatives
- Evaluate and implement new technologies and workflow improvements
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy required
- Active or eligible New Mexico Pharmacist license required
- Minimum 5 years of healthcare experience
- At least 2 years in a pharmacy leadership role
- Experience with budgeting, productivity, and staff supervision
- Strong leadership and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree such as PharmD, MS, or MBA preferred
- Experience in a for-profit hospital setting preferred
- Knowledge of pharmacy accreditation and regulatory requirements
